Our quality shines in many colors: Roans, Palominos, Duns, Buckskins and Grays.
In 1947, John W. Peeples moved to Colorado from Texas and purchased a small ranch in the Ute Trail area north of Salida, Colorado. Later He acquired two ranches in the Arkanas Valley and raised Hereford cattle.
The Peeples Ranch was down sized in 1972 and the Quarter Horse operation on the smaller of the two ranches was enlarged with John's son Bruce managing the ranch. Raising race horses and working ranch horses began the Peeples Ranch equine endeavor. The stallion Lancer Charge SI:102 and a mare Little Speedy Jet SI:101 were the pride of the ranch in the 1970's and 1980's.
Today the tradition continues with Bruce, wife Karen, and two sons Dave and Doug. The emphasis has shifted from primarily race horses to breeding and raising high quality all around horses. We are especially proud of the colts we produce for Halter and Arena careers.
